Conflict Resolution and Mediation

We are bound to encounter conflict at some point in our lives. Whether this be within ourselves, romantic relationships, or at the workplace, conflict is both natural and inevitable. It is far too easy to allow conflict to overwhelm us, resulting in destructive and harmful behaviour patterns. However, despite the negative aspects of conflict, there are many ways to manage the process, allowing you to focus on the positives of the experience.

Conflict resolution and mediation aims to equip clients with the proper skills to address conflict in a healthy and sustainable manner. The devotion to confront and resolve a conflict is admirable and indicates commitment, concern, and desire to work towards positive changes. Here, at Addcounsel, we work with a team of world leading specialists to deliver conflict resolution and mediation to give you the ability to resolve conflict in a cooperative way.

We take a multi-pronged approach to treatment, not just focusing on your mind but recognising the importance of your emotional, physical, and nutritional health to ensure a long-lasting recovery. We understand the uniqueness of each client’s journey and aim to provide a programme tailored to your individual needs. We believe you should be able to solely focus on the process of your recovery, so our private luxury service ensures an unrivalled level of care and complete anonymity.

How Conflict Resolution And Mediation Works

Conflict can come in all shapes and sizes; a conflict within yourself, such as a moral dilemma, a conflict between two people, or even conflict within a group. Whatever the form, if unresolved, it can result in negative emotional states that may linger, causing lasting and serious consequences. Conflict resolution and mediation aims to teach you the skills to utilise when facing difficult situations.

Our team of experts will work with you to encourage a resolution to overcome difficulties, incorporating imagery and communication tools to explore, identify and change behaviour patterns. Conflict can leave you feeling angry, anxious, isolated, or depressed. With the correct skill set, you can choose balanced and fair solutions that satisfy all parties. Therapy aims to remove your triggering element when encountering conflict in the future to help you work towards a win-win resolution.

Conflict resolution therapy aims to provide an appropriate balance of skills training and therapy to guide you in resolving upsetting conflicts. During sessions our therapists will attempt to:

  • Coach – Sessions will teach communication skills, emotional self-regulation, expression of positive feelings and collaborative problem solving.
  • Guide – Our therapists act as skilled mediators, providing expert outside perspectives to lead you to win-win resolutions.
  • Heal – Conflict resolution therapy aims at healing affected relationships and reliving your negative associated feelings of anxiety, anger, or depression.

How Conflict Resolution And Mediation Can Help You

Conflict resolution therapy is based on the idea that conflict is a key driver for emotional distress. Unresolved and reoccurring issues often to lead to conflict: interpersonally, internally, or externally. By teaching you the skills to avoid, navigate, and control future conflict, you can apply these to the real world, avoiding unwanted and negative emotions.

Therapy sessions will enable you to take back control when you find yourself in triggering situations. After all, we have the ability to control our own actions and reactions, but not those of others. By teaching you the skills to positively react to conflict, you will be able to approach conflict in a new light, allowing you to focus on the positive aspects of the once negative experience.

Over the course of therapy, you will learn how to communicate effectively, manage emotions, and avoid emotional detours. You will be empowered to productively address, tackle, and prevent future conflict. Unwanted negative emotions are draining, and by learning how to control these, you can use conflict to gain new perspectives, ideas, and understandings.

Addcounsel are the only luxury treatment centre in London who offer a network of 80 specialists on a one-to-one basis to their clients. We pride ourselves on focussing on clinical excellence, meaning that we are client focussed but results driven. We understand what it is to work with wealthy clients; we know that it is not always easy and we know how to treat the complex and unique challenges it can entail.
We carry out a thorough diagnosis with our team of expert medical and psychiatric practitioners; this enables us to not only know what the client’s immediate problem is but the underlying factors which may be affecting it. We use this to provide a bespoke holistic treatment program in which every single aspect of the client is looked after, from their physical to their mental health. We are well equipped to match both our clients therapeutic and lifestyle needs, and we provide ongoing care plans with the goal of enabling our clients to have long lasting and consistent recovery.

Our treatment programs are delivered on a case-by-case basis. Humans are all individuals, and at Addcounsel we recognise that. This is why our program is always tailored to the needs of the client as a person, rather than trying to apply a “one-size-fits-all” treatment model. However, some of the therapies our clients can expect to receive are:

  • Psychotherapy
  • EMDR
  • Family Systems Therapy
  • Spiritual counselling
  • Mindfulness
  • RTMS
  • Somantic Experiencing
  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy – CBT
  • Positive psychology
  • Hypnotherapy

In short, no. Our staff are very experienced in dealing with high-profile individuals and as such we understand the value of complete privacy. The only way that someone will find out that you attended Addcounsel is if you choose to tell them.

Our treatment programs are bespoke, and as such they do not have to have a set finish date. If you decide that you need to extend your stay with us, then we will extend your stay as long as you want.
If you decide that you need additional help upon leaving treatment, we offer tailored aftercare plans which can be carried out all over the world. This means that at any point you can have a member of our team with you, wherever you decide to go.

Absolutely. At Addcounsel, we pride ourselves on minimal disruption to the lifestyles of our clients. We want them to feel at home and comfortable during their time with us, so your staff can either stay with you or we can accommodate them in one of our exclusive Central London properties. We do provide a chef, but you are of course welcome to bring your own.
Addcounsel is also able to provide house staff, butlers, and private security if our clients require it.
